Session Hazy IPA is a beer style that suits us and we like it. If we had to describe it simply, it would be “a combination of NEIPA and IPA”. What can you find under the Session Hazy IPA beer style? Session hazy IPA is a distinctive, usually lighter (lower alcohol content) beer with a hoppy taste and aroma and a cloudy body. It is a combination of citrus and fruity hops, oatmeal, wheat malt and yeast.

Flavor profile of Session Hazy IPA

Session Hazy IPA offers a rich flavor profile full of fruity and floral notes. It is dominated by hop aromas of citrus, tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple, as well as subtle notes of peach or apricot. The beer has a cloudy appearance, which is the result of the use of specific yeasts and the addition of wheat or oats to the hops. The light and smooth mouthfeel is complemented by a subtle bitterness that is not too dominant, allowing you to enjoy the beer repeatedly.

Alcohol content and bitterness of Session Hazy IPA

Session Hazy IPA typically contains between 3.5% and 5% alcohol, which is lower than classic IPAs. The bitterness ranges from 20-50 IBU (International Bitterness Units), making it accessible even for those who prefer less bitter beers.
